ASPEN Control Panel 15Jul2011

  • ASPEN Control Panel v1.3.0
    1. Supports the new Rear Panel Crosspoint Gain control scheme introduced with ASPEN firmware versions 1.3.0 and higher. This makes "Rear Panel" crosspoint gain control work the same way as the Input and Output Rear Panel gain control always has.
      • The "Rear Panel" matrix crosspoint gains are now separate from the "Main" crosspoint gain setting. Total crosspoint gain is the sum of the "Main" and "Rear Panel" gains.
      • Rear panel Input channel "gain minimum" values apply to matrix crosspoints.
      • Rear Panel crosspoint gain values are displayed in the "Rear Panel Gain Control" tab in the GUI, along with the Input and Output channel Rear Panel gain values.
      • Changes to Rear Panel crosspoint gains are no longer reflected in the Matrix tab. Only the "Main" crosspoint gain values are maintained and displayed here.
      • Preset Recall "Protected Settings" now includes options to mask off Matrix Crosspoint Rear Panel Gain and Mute settings.
      • NOTE: firmware version 1.3.0 or higher is required in connected ASPEN devices for the new Rear Panel Crosspoint Gain control scheme to be available. However, ASPEN Control Panel version 1.3.0 is backwards compatible with previous firmware versions. In this case the Crosspoint Rear Panel Gain values displayed in the "Rear Panel Gain Control" tab will not be valid.

ASPEN Control Panel 1Jun2011

  • ASPEN Control Panel v1.2.1
    1. Introduces new features for managing ASPEN system design "projects" which may contain multiple units, stored in a single file. For each device, all 24 presets, all 256 macros, and other device settings are contained in the project file and may be viewed or modified in Project mode. You can learn more in the Working with Projects help topic.
      • Projects are stored in a new file type with extension ".aproj" which is associated with the Control Panel program when the program is installed. This file type is associated with the Control Panel program - double clicking on a project file in Windows File Explorer will launch the Control Panel program and open the project.
      • All or part of the configuration defined in a project may be "exported" to a running device over a USB connection.
      • All or part of the configuration of a running device may be "imported" into a project.
      • The entire configuration of a running system (one or more devices) may be saved into a single project file over a USB, RS232 or Network connection between your PC and the master unit of the system.
      • NOTE: firmware version 1.2.0 or higher is required in connected ASPEN devices for the "import", "export" and "save system" project management features to work correctly.
    2. Network connections made easier, hosts may be addressed by entering a hostname instead of a dotted-decimal IP address. Recently used TCP port numbers are now "remembered" like the host name in the ASPEN Net dialog box.
    3. When using the macro recorder, changes to matrix crosspoints result in commands which are more compact and understandable.
  • ASPEN Command Terminal v1.2.0
