Saving and loading presets as files

The current settings of the DM84 are often referred to as the active preset.

The active preset can be saved into a file for future reference.
A preset can be loaded from a file. The active preset will be unconditionally overwritten when this is done.

Preset load and save as operations can be executed from the control panel at any time. When the control panel is used in offline mode, it acts as a "preset editor", allowing preset files can be loaded, viewed, edited, and saved during the system design process.

Saving a preset to file

Choose File->Save settings to file As... from the Menu Bar and then select the name and location of the destination file in the Save DM84 settings as... dialog:

Click Save to finish. By default preset files have the extension ".DM84" but you may use any extension you wish. The control panel title bar will be updated to display the preset file name.

Loading a preset from file

Choose File->Load settings from file... from the Main Menu and then select the source file from the Select DM84 settings file.... dialog:

Press Open to finish. The control panel title bar will be updated to display the preset file name.
