New York, NY: The tiny SM transmitter introduced by Lectrosonics at NAB2005 was
chosen by PRIMEDIA’s Video Systems as one of 14 NAB Pick Hit winners. The annual Pick Hits Award winners are
selected during the annual National Association of Broadcasters convention from among hundreds of new products and tools
on display.
“These are products that will impact day-to-day work for our readers,” says Video Systems Editorial
Director Cynthia Wisehart. “We’re very pleased to recognize innovation and excellence.”
A panel comprised of Video Systems’ senior editors and contributing editors who work in the field of professional
video chooses the Pick Hits. Their expertise covers the areas of shooting, editing, video presentation, broadcast and web
production, AV/IT and systems integration. The judges meet onsite at NAB to nominate and select final winners that meet
the following criteria:
- Products must be new, and not shown at a previous NAB convention.
- Products must have some positive impact on the intended user's everyday work.
- Products must offer substantial improvement over previous technology.
- The prices of the products must be within reach of their intended users.
- The products must be available for purchase within the calendar year 2005.
“Our judges have decades of combined experience in video production and systems design, so they take this selection
process very seriously,” says Wisehart. “The debate is always very lively.”
Winners of the Video Systems Pick Hits will be posted on PRIMEDIA’s Video Systems Web site
(www.videosystems.com) as well as featured in the June 2005 issue of the
magazine.
