LECTROSONICS INTRODUCES HERITAGE SERIES TRANSMITTERS Retro wireless system delivers pristine audio with vintage look
Rio Rancho, NM – April 1, 2007… In keeping with current trends of “retro” products like pre-distressed jeans, “vintage-treated” guitars and “antiqued” violins, Lectrosonics has introduced the Heritage Series belt-pack transmitters for guitar and bass players interested in vintage-looking equipment without the headaches of vintage performance. Following Gibson and Fender's cue with their classic reissues which offer realistic wear and authentic finish blemishes, Lectrosonics offers a companion transmitter to complement the visual effect that so many artists are seeking. "With the Heritage Series, you get a brand-new transmitter which works flawlessly, inside a case which has been artificially aged - complete with finish wear and tear - as though the transmitter could have been used by Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock," says Karl Winkler, director of business development at Lectrosonics. Before final assembly, each case is carefully tumbled in a drum with gravel and assorted 1970’s belt buckles to achieve the "classic" look. They are then expertly hand-distressed to complete the effect. The Heritage Series transmitters carry a $2,500 surcharge over the standard transmitter prices. Availability: April 1, 2007.
